Follow these steps If your card swipe does not respond when swiping credit cards or gift cards.
- Open a Finder window.
- On the Menu bar click Go and select Go to Folder.
- In the text field type /Library/Preferences and click Go.
- Locate the file com.apple.keyboardtype.plist, move it to the Trash and empty the Trash.
- Disconnect your barcode scanner.
- Disconnect your card swipe.
- Restart your Mac.
- When the restart is complete, reconnect your card swipe.
- When you see the Keyboard Setup Assistant appear, close it by clicking the red circle in the top left corner.
- In OnSite StoreMaster on the File menu click Station Setup and check that the correct model of card swipe is selected.
