You can recharge gift cards with a magnetic strip or chip. If you generate gift card serial numbers in OnSite, they cannot be recharged and you must generate a new gift card label.
To add funds to a gift card
- In OnSite StoreMaster add a gift card to a sale and enter the serial number of the gift card with a magnetic chip or strip.
- Enter the currency value you want to add to the gift card and save the invoice.
To verify a gift card’s current balance, go to Tools > Gift Cards and search by gift card serial number.
To check the gift card format you are using go to Tools > Setup > Point of Sale > Gift Cards.
