Troubleshooting barcode scanner

  1. If your barcode isn't scanning product labels or barcodes, on your Mac open a Finder window.
  2. In the menu bar click Go > Go to Folder.
  3. Type /Library/Preferences and click Go.
  4. Find the file com.apple.keyboardtype.plist, move it to the Trash and empty the Trash.
  5. Disconnect your barcode scanner.
  6. Restart your Mac.
  7. When the restart is completed, reconnect your barcode scanner.
  8. When you see the Keyboard Setup Assistant appear, close it.
  9. Return to OnSite and try scanning a product.
